PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

SS (Scorched Splits) are naturally split cashew kernels that have a slightly scorched or off-white color due to roasting, drying, or peeling processes. Despite the darker shade, SS cashews retain the nutritional value, buttery flavor, and crunchy texture of whole kernels. This grade is highly cost-effective and widely used in the snack industry, food processing, and manufacturing where appearance is less critical.

KEY FEATURES

• Size: Split halves (approx. 300–400 pieces/lb ≈ 660–880 pieces/kg)

• Color: Light brown to ivory, slightly scorched

• Texture: Crispy, nutty, with natural cashew sweetness

• Moisture: ≤ 5%

• Defects: Light superficial blemishes and color variations permitted; free from rancidity, infestation, and foreign matter; meets AFI & international standards.

• Nutritional Value: High in protein, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals

• Roasted, salted, or spiced snacks

• Ingredient in bakery, confectionery, nut mixes, and energy bars
